Panorama through the years

  • 1967

    Panorama began trading in Liverpool on Great Homer Street Market.

  • 1972

    The founder Mr. John Ward moved the business into their first furniture outlet in Townsend Lane Liverpool, and Roy Rotheram joined the company.

  • 1975

    The company expanded into a number of outlets including Kirkstone Road North and Denbigh, Wales.

  • 1979

    John Ward acquired Down Brothers factory in Claude Road, Liverpool.

  • 1980

    The company adopted a new strategic direction and entered into the fitted kitchen market; soon after the Kirkstone Road North and Denbigh premises were sold.

  • 1982

    Panorama Furnishing Mart Ltd. was formed.

  • 1983

    John Ward retired and Roy Rotheram took control of Panorama Furnishing Mart Ltd, along with Mrs. Ward.

  • 1984

    The first kitchen showroom was acquired in Townsend Lane.

  • 1985

    The company won its first sizeable contract with Crosby Homes North West.

  • 1987

    Roy Rotheram acquires the remaining shares of the company.

  • 1990

    A kitchen showroom was opened on the Wirral.

  • 1991

    Land was acquired on Belmont Road and construction of a factory and showroom facility soon began.

  • 1993

    Work was completed on the purpose built factory and offices in Belmont Road.

  • 1994

    Completion of Belmont road showroom.

  • 1997

    Panorama expands further and completes two extensions to existing factory and offices.

  • 2000

    New location was established for the Wirral based showroom, the former bank on Woodchurch Road was acquired.

  • 2003

    A brand new production line was installed to cope with demand at the Belmont Road Factory.

  • 2004

    The company expands again and work began in transforming the former bank premises into one of Wirral’s premier kitchen showrooms, now a well-known land mark for many.

  • 2005

    New Wirral Showroom opens.

  • 2006

    Panorama updated and installed a new computerised management system to improve production and service.

  • 2008

    ISO:9001 2008 accreditation was awarded to Panorama Kitchens, Panorama also acquired FIRA status.

  • 2009

    The industry was hit hard through recession; however Panorama Kitchens invested in software to help research the retail market and continued trading without the loss of personnel.

  • 2010

    Above average growth and record turnover in both the domestic and contract markets for Panorama Kitchens, resulting in a recruitment drive in all areas of Design, Manufacture and Installation personnel.

  • 2011

    Investment made in a new Glue and Dowell machine to enhance production. Extra storage space created within our warehouse through the installation of a Mezzanine Floor creating an extra 5,000 square feet.

  • 2012

    The first Quooker instant hot water tap was introduced into the appliance range. Panorama installed a superior fire alarm system providing extra security for its employees and the business.

  • 2013

    The investment in 2013 into machinery enabled Panorama to manufacture kitchen furniture in greater volumes, more efficiently and to an even higher standard.

  • 2014

    After the introduction of improved machinery in 2013, Panorama hit record turnover figures in 2014 and were awarded the biggest ever single contract of £1.3 million. Additions to our fleet of vehicles and achieving FIRA Gold Installation Accreditation (only one of three independents in the country to do so,) completed a very successful year.

  • 2015

    Re-investment of profits in 2014 saw the installation of a state of the art Beam Saw and fully automated crane which, installed on a 3,000 square foot mezzanine floor was the first of its kind in Europe. Our power supply into the building required doubling. Acrylic doors introduced in 2013 became our best seller in this year and can be viewed in our newly refurbished Liverpool showroom. The launch of a brand new website has allowed us to share our achievements and exciting developments with our clients.

  • 2016

    During this year we began our re-branding exercise with new signs for our Liverpool and Wirral showrooms, and our fleet of vehicles. We updated our factory, offices and showrooms to ECO lighting, along with installing a Biomass Boiler system, which is has Zero Carbon Waste Solution for reducing our effect on our environment.

  • 2017

    Through our enhanced corporate offering we successfully grew our portfolio of regional and national house-builders, expanding our scale of operations outside of the North West. We also invested in a polystyrene compactor to promote our good recycling practise and further reduce our impact of waste on the environment.

  • 2018

    With the growing importance of social media, we have re-launched our website and enhanced our presence within social media. As well as an online presence, we have re-designed and published our new bespoke brochure with all the up to date kitchen trends.
